Ben's Collectors Records first opened in Farnham, Surrey in 1991. A while later the present Guildford shop opened and for a period there were two shops, the original located in Farnham, Surrey and a second shop located in Guildford, Surrey. However, in 2003 Ben was persuaded to sell the Farham shop to, of all people, a regular customer.

Following the sale Ben has focused his activities at the Guildford shop. He feels that by concentrating his activities on the one shop he is more able to devote all his attention to providing the level of service customers have come to expect.

Ben is not just the person behind the counter. He is a serious music lover, musician and collector himself - this and his personality is omnipresent at all times. His experience has been gained in almost 25 years of direct involvement in the record and music business.

The Guildford shop has now become a well known and regular meeting place for record collectors and music lovers of all types. Visit the shops and you will find "Jazz Fanatics", "Vinyl Junkies", "Classical Snobs", "Rockers", "Blues Sympathisers" - and even normal people - rubbing shoulders in their pursuit of musical pleasure.
